ROXSOLT LIV SRAM
Roxsolt Liv Sram are Australia’s only UCI Continental Women’s team. Their ethos is to not be too serious, with a flavour for a kit that reflects the team’s lively personalities. The characters that make up the team are a melting pot of new mums, seasoned pros and young riders with little experience but bags of promise. They all have their own personalities and viewpoints but combined they make up a powerful cohort of relatable heroes.
In 2022 Rapha created Roxsolt Liv Sram’s team kit imbuing a ‘Kintsugi’ theme. This was well received and the brief for 2023 was to progress on this and to create something equally as vivacious, wild and fun.
Print Direction: Initial Concepts & Ideation
In intial talks with the team, it was decided that considerations for the print direction would be abstract, colourful and ‘fun’, carrying through the Roxsolt DNA.

Selected Print Direction: ‘Different Strokes’
The print direction selected for Roxsolt Liv Sram’s 2023 kit was created by using hand-painted experiments of overlapping, abstract and painterly brushstrokes. Further developing the initial concept, images were scanned and digitally altered to create bold colours and textures that reflected inspiration taken from a series of photographs by the photographer Kevin Krautgartner. These images are of the salt evaporation ponds, also known as ‘salterns’, found in Western Australia and feature a bright, organic and playful palette.
“Different Strokes”
Exploring the use of handmade, large, expressive and textural brush strokes, ‘Different Strokes’ plays on the concept that team Roxsolt is a ‘melting pot’ of members. Each stroke is a unique path and bold expression that comes together to create something bigger and whole. Bold and bright, the graphics are reflective of the fun that embodies Roxsolt.
Custom Painted Roxsolt Liv SRAM Frame with SRAM Force AXS
Gifted to Roxsolt team lead and member, Peta Mullens, this custom built frame was painted by ‘Sun Graphics’, Australia. The paintwork and frame design were created to match the 2023 team kit.
